Today is the eighth National School Library Day, as well as Drop Everything And Read Day, so to support literacy and libraries, break away from your daily routine and read for at least 20 minutes. The event, supported by the B.C. Teacher-Librarians’ Association, begins at schools across B.C. at 11 a.m.
Or, if you’d like to join a gathering of literary-minded folks, enjoy World Poetry at Vancouver’s Central Library. The event showcases poetry and music from around the world, starts at 7 p.m., and is free.
