Chinatown meets Uganda tonight as a benefit concert and art sale at the Fortune Sound Club beats a tune for music and art education for youth in the Third World country.

About a dozen musicians, including Canadian Idol’s Carly Rae Jepsen, take the mic for the Bavubuka Foundation — a non-profit organization based in Uganda that teaches youth about the arts.

All the ticket proceeds will go toward the foundation along with 50 per cent of proceeds from the silent art auction. The event starts at 6 p.m. with $25 tickets available at the door. The Fortune Sound Club is located at 147 E Pender St.
