If you find yourself in a HUFF this week, don’t worry — it’s the first ever Halifax Urban Folk Festival.

Organizer Mike Campbell said he loves singer/songwriters, but doesn’t love travelling to the boonies to see them. HUFF will bring the likes of Willie Nile, Michael Weston King and Ron Hawkins to Campbell’s downtown Halifax establishment, the Carleton Music Bar and Grill. The festival started last night and goes until Sunday.

Campbell said you might not have heard of all of the performers, but you will not soon forget them.
