Take a stroll through the heart of Ottawa’s Little Italy and check out the new street art installations on the sidewalks along the newly rebuilt Preston Street between Carling Avenue and Scott Street.
The 15 new bronze and granite sculptures, designed by Wakefield artist CJ Fleury, each depict scenes of Italian culture.
Pieces cover themes from immigrating to Canada, Italy’s rich history in literature, St. Anthony, soccer and food.
They were made possible by the city’s Percent for Art Policy, which invests one per cent of funds from the municipal reconstruction into public art.
