Metro Minute on the Danforth

It’s been almost a decade since My Big Fat Greek Wedding transformed the Pappas Grill into a silver screen landmark. Thankfully, the Danforth institution didn’t let sudden stardom go to its head and has continued to churn out reams of souvlaki and saganaki (Opa!). While walking along the stretch of Greektown between Broadview and Chester, you may also notice the Brass Taps Pizza Pub at 493 Danforth Ave., which enjoyed a cameo as the travel agency where Nia Vardalos’ character Toula worked. Or you may want to take advantage of Dine Around The Danforth, where select restaurants are offering special prix fixe menus between $10 and $30.
