Local seniors will benefit from you becoming a Christmas Elf. Unwrapped gifts, such as blankets, socks and toiletries are being collected for seniors and housebound residents through the city’s Meals on Wheels program.
“On any given day, we have 500 clients,” said Kerryn North, manager of marketing and fund development. “(And) most of them are living on their own in their home.”
North said the Meals on Wheels program is a large part of why many clients are able to live where they are. Donations can be dropped off at 11111–103 Ave. on weekdays between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. To arrange for collection, call 780-429-2020.
