If you’ve got a minute tonight, look up!

The Perseid meteor shower has the reputation of being the biggest and brightest of all meteor showers and, with clear skies in the forecast, a light show is expected tonight.

Raminder Samra, an astronomer at the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre, said the shower’s peak will be midnight until dawn.

“The best place to watch the meteor is a place that’s dark, like a park or backyard with no light polluting it,” Samra said.
