Metro Minute with Abilities arts fest

Instead of taking that 30-minute power lunch today, why not feed your spirit? Bet you didn’t know about the Abilities Arts Festival, which began in 2003. It’s a round-the-calendar series run by a disability arts organization that promotes diversity, inclusiveness and the power of art as a means of enriching the cultural fabric of our communities. The festival’s goal is to showcase artists with disabilities, while increasing support for accessibility so all can enjoy and participate. So mosey on down to the VMAC Gallery at 401 Richmond St. W. to check out the Connections 5 juried art exhibit, showcasing some of the finest visual artists in Canada — disability or not.
