Ever wonder how vampires popped into our cultural imagination, or why — in True Blood, at least — they love real human blood so much more than the synthetic stuff?

Buy a ticket to Body Worlds & The Brain at the Telus World of Science tonight, and from 6:30 to 7:30 you can meet Dr. Maria Issa, a blood expert from UBC.

Issa will give a short history of vampires and will talk about the science and myths behind the life-giving liquid they love.

Tickets are $21 for adults.

This exhibit uses timed ticketing so you can reserve beforehand to secure your spot.
