Great Big Sea fans will want to mark this event in their calendars.
Newfoundland and Labrador folk rocker Bob Hallett will read from his latest book, the autobiographical Writing Out The Notes, at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Ottawa Public Library’s main branch. A discussion of the book with CBC-TV host Ken Rockburn (Rockburn Presents) will follow. Though he’s best known for his musical career, Hallett has also written a guide to the music business for the federal government, two bestselling language arts textbooks, and a documentary for CBC radio on the metaphysics of folksongs.
