Indie folk-rock singer Dan Mangan will play a show tonight at the Myer Horowitz Theatre before continuing his tour through Western Canada.
The 27-year-old is the red-hot recent recipient of three West Coast Music Awards after his second LP, Nice, Nice, Very Nice, earned him Independent Album of the Year, Songwriter of the Year and Roots Solo Recording of the Year.
The university venue is an appropriate place to host the event. Mangan’s album title comes from a line in a poem from the novel Cat’s Cradle by another perennial campus favourite, Kurt Vonnegut.
The show starts at 7:30 p.m.
