Take a minute to tour through Calgary’s past by participating in the 20th annual Historic Calgary Week. At 11 a.m. Friday, listen to stories of ranching pioneers Henry Frank and Ellen Lawrence — right from their grandchildren — at 3625 – 4th St. SW.

At 1:30 p.m., hop on a tour bus to see Calgary’s most historically significant parks. The bus departs at Reader Rock Garden parking lot, 325 – 25th Ave SE.

At 7 p.m., Harry Sanders will show how back alleys tell stories of the past. Meet at the Famous Five statues in Olympic Plaza, 228 – 8th Ave. SE.

Historic Calgary Week runs until Aug. 2.
