Often in the crush of downtown’s cultural dominance, North York’s vibrant arts scene gets overlooked.
So, if you’re itching to do something a little different this weekend, why not venture a bit further up the Yonge line and check out the North York Visual Artists’ Art Tour & Sale.
The two-day festival features 27 different artists in 13 different locations. The artists range from painters and photographers to mixed media.
A good bet is the dual exhibition formed by Iranian-Canadian painter Soudabeh Majidi and jewelry designer Farinaz Mohajer, who will be at 12 Doon Ave. from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Check out nyva.ca for more listings.
