Looking for something to do today in Calgary? If you have a few spare minutes, head over to the Art Gallery of Calgary to check out the Softcore Hard Edge exhibit.
This show features 18 artists from Calgary and Los Angeles, and their artwork shows the similarities between art created in two different cities. Softcore Hard Edge is co-curated by Marianne Elder, Calgary’s senior art curator, and David Pagel, art critic for the Los Angeles Times.
The exhibit opened in September and will run until Jan. 22, 2011, before heading to Los Angeles. The gallery is located at 117 8th Avenue SW and is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
