Caribana bursts into town this week, with an official launch on Thursday, and the annual parade set for July 31.
That means calypso bands around town are working up a sweat practicing for the big event.
If you can’t wait another two weeks for the sound of steel pan drums, grab a folding chair, a ginger beer and head to the plaza parking lot at York Mills and Leslie, right beside the Shoppers Drug Mart.
The sweet, melodic rhythms will get you pumped for the parade, and provide an unbeatable free, open air concert.
