If you haven’t checked it out yet, spend a minute viewing the Tanks and Tartan: Soldiers for 100 Years display, before the joint exhibit ends in August.
The display is commemorative of the King’s Own Calgary Regiment and the Calgary Highlanders. The exhibit occupies The Founders’ Art and Heritage Gallery at The Military Museums. Most of the artifacts and photos are selected from the permanent collections of the two regimental museums supplemented by several key pieces borrowed from the Glenbow Museum in Calgary. The exhibit also features a section on the Mewata Armoury, home to both regiments since the 1920s.
