The musical The Fantasticks, which played off Broadway from 1960-2002, is coming to Dartmouth’s only community theatre.

The show, which is the longest-running musical, is a story about a young couple whose parents build a wall between their two houses to keep them apart.

It is described as “a simple but beautiful story of the quintessential celebration of love in all its gorgeous simplicity and heartbreaking complexity.”

Starting Wednesday, it will be performed Wednesday through Saturday at 8 p.m. with Sunday matinees Nov. 14 and Nov. 21 at 2 p.m. The Dartmouth Players Theatre is at 33 Creighton Street.
