Who were British Columbia’s first authors and what did they see? Why did they come here and why did they stay?

Venture into B.C.’s past through the eyes of B.C. authors tonight with Alan Twigg, author of the book series The Literary Origins Of British Columbia.

Twigg will talk about 150 B.C. books and their authors, who documented the province’s storied past.

The books include extracts from writers’ works, as well as old images and photographs of the authors and their subjects.

The event is free at the Vancouver Public Library’s Central Branch, 350 W. Georgia St., today from 7-8:30 p.m.
