Movie buffs can join Dorothy, the tin man, the cowardly lion and the scarecrow as they make their way along the yellow brick road during a screening of Victor Fleming’s 1939 classic, The Wizard Of Oz.


Presented by Calgary Cinematheque, the show begins at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Plaza Theatre. The film is considered the best-known adaptation of L. Frank Baum’s 1900 book, The Wonderful Wizard Of Oz. It has also been credited for being the first Hollywood production to use colour.


Admission is $5 and attendees are also asked to bring a donation for the Calgary Inter-Faith Food Bank. Visit calgarycinema.org for more information.
