Currently, there are more than 2,900 military personnel from Canada, including more than 150 from Ottawa, deployed around the world. Standing behind and supporting these heroes are thousands of family members – the unsung heroes who hold down the homefront.
The Great Canadian Theatre Company, in partnership with the Military Family Resource Centre – National Capital Region, is presenting Unsung Heroes: the Strength Behind the Uniform at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the Canada Aviation and Space Museum. Proceeds from the fundraiser will support the MFRC-NRC and GCTC.
The gala evening will also include a staged reading of an excerpt from Vimy. Tickets are available at 613-236-5196.
