On the scale of public attention, our lungs often take a back seat to the overexposed Kardashian sisters of vital organs: The heart, brain and liver. (We’ll let you decide which one is which). But that doesn’t mean they are any less important than their flashier counterparts. Just try not breathing for a while and see what good they do you.
That’s why the Pulmonary Hypertension Association of Canada is holding a fundraiser tomorrow night to raise both funds and awareness for this rare disease, in which the arteries of the lungs become closed off and can be potentially fatal.
