What the jurors say:
Being passionate about children’s rights, expressive photos with active children tend to rate high with me. This one is a perfect composition filled with emotions, stories and the real life through a child’s point of view. There are some really powerful contrasts to the photo and it will be a pleasure to have this photographer capturing the stories of children and local heroes in Ghana.
—Sara Damber, CEO, Reach for ChangeThis images is great for its spontaneity and charisma. The framing is right on the spot and the photographer has managed to make this simple act of playing an instrument a joy to look at.
—Alejandro Cartagena, photographer, global jury memberThis photo tells a child’s start in the road of music as part of his life, this is really good.
—Liu Bolin, photo artistWhen you see a real good picture, you can feel it in your stomach! This is the one I felt from the first time I saw it.
Perfect, from the texts in the backgrund till the colour of the boys face! A winner!

What the jurors say:
The cold foggy trees and the dog spotting something lurking in the woods gives me goosebumps… A magical and beautifully shot picture and a true capture of natures different wonders, mysteries and the sixth sense.
—Sara Damber, CEO, Reach for ChangeSo beautiful! And every dog-lover and a few others knows about a dogs sixth sense. It was a very difficult category for the photographers and the jury.
—Urban Brådhe, press photographer, Metro SwedenThe dog uses his instinct to feel the world, so it is really good to describe the sixth sense here. And I think the composition of the photo is good. I really like this.
