Metro reader opens up home to rescued cat

This cat will have a long nine lives if the start of his life is any indication.

Jackson, an eight-week-old kitten, found a home after Metro ran a story last week about the injured feline, who had to have his leg amputated after he was believed to have been kicked. A Metro reader contacted the organization after learning about the incident, according to Jackson’s foster mother Bev Johnson.

“I’m happy to let everyone know that a lady saw the article and immediately put in an application to adopt Jackson,” Johnson said.

“I saw her on Saturday and she’s perfect. She already has a cat with an amputation that she adopted from the SPCA.”
