HUMPHREY BOGART
Warner Home Video has released the ultimate DVD collection for any fans of screen legend Humphrey Bogart. The set, called The Essential Collection, features 24 of Bogie’s best films on 12 discs, including Key Largo, Casablanca and High Sierra. The set also contains postcard-sized movie posters of the films, and a number of special features. Here’s looking at you, kid.


JUSTIN BIEBER
Stamped with a “100 per cent official” logo, Justin Bieber First Step 2 Forever: My Story hit bookstores last Tuesday. Heavy on photographs — 240 to be exact — the hardcover book let’s fans in on Bieber’s childhood; from a Stratford, Ont., street busker to an international teen singing sensation. In the book, the Biebs also talks about his love of pranks.


VAMPIRE DIARIES
Fans of The Vampire Diaries can now listen to hit songs from the show whenever they want. A soundtrack to the TV series has been released, featuring a biting mix of exclusive tracks unavailable elsewhere — including songs by Smashing Pumpkins and Gorillaz — plus favourites from season one.

GREAT PUMPKIN
Nothing says Halloween more than the perennial broadcast of It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. Now you can stay up all-night with Linus as he waits for the Great Pumpkin’s arrival anytime you want. A new DVD/Blu-ray combo pack of the cartoon has been released with some extra content; a second story featuring the Peanuts gang.

STEVE MARTIN
CBC Television’s Just for Laughs will feature the legendary Steve Martin on Monday night. Martin — who will be joined by Steve Patterson, Orny Adams and Mik Birbiglia — will showcase some new material written for Just for Laughs, along with his musical talents. The show airs at 9 p.m.

PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 2
Paranormal Activity was a huge hit this past year, and the people behind it are ready to strike again with the sequel. Opening next weekend, Paranormal Activity 2 will feature the sister from the first film moving into the anything-but-normal house.
