Metro's 7th Heaven: October 22 - 24

Metro taps what's hot this week.

Pinsent and Bieber
A video clip from this week’s episode of This Hour Has 22 Minutes, featuring Gordon Pinsent reading excerpts from Justin Bieber’s biography — has gone viral. So far it’s topped 95,000 views and counting.

Willow Smith
We told you a few months ago about Willow Smith — daughter of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith — releasing an album. Well the video for the first single, Whip My Hair, dropped this week featuring the star progeny, well, whipping her hair. Surprisingly its not too bad, and the nine-year-old may be the first mini-singer actually born this century. Check it out on YouTube.

Toddler Project Runway
The toddlers at Babelgum are at it again, this time with a fun send-up of Project Runway. If you are not familiar with the concept, Babelgum features kids parodying shows like The Hills and Jersey Shore. The results are often hilarious, if not scary. Check it out to see a pint sized Heidi Klum and a tot-sized Michael Kors cameo. babelgum.com.

Runaway
MuchMusic will be airing Kanye West’s Runaway live this Saturday. Following the premiere of the short film, West will take part in a live Q and A.

Sex and the City 2
Carrie, Charlotte, Miranda and Samantha are back — at least on video. Sex and the City 2, featuring the NYCers heading to Abu Dhabi for a little sun, sand and Aidan, lands in Blu-ray and DVD next week. Does Carrie leave Big for her former beau? If you don't know by now maybe you should head to the video store.

Conan O’Brien
The talk show host is counting down to the launch of his new show on TBS with a 24-hour Coco Cam feeding live images from his office to teamcoco.com. It was also announced guests on his show — it premieres Nov. 8 — will include Tom Hanks, John Hamm and Seth Rogan.

Hootie
Hootie & The Blowfish, which seemed to dominate radio in 1994 with the release of Cracked Rear View, has been immortalized in a piece of public art this week in Columbia, S.C. The monument was unveiled to mark the band’s 25th anniversary.
