A Canadian medic was killed on a “goodwill patrol” in Afghanistan, and the federal government was still deciding whether or not to send DART to Myanmar. The Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, an anti-seal hunt group, was going to bill Canada $1000 a day for what they claim is the illegal seizure of their vessel, and 45 suspected illegal immigrants were arrested in Toronto. The Taser inquiry in Vancouver heard two very different opinions on the weapon’s use.

Barack Obama won North Carolina and only narrowly lost Indiana, and a half-dozen police officers in Philadelphia were caught on tape kicking and hitting three suspects. Aid was beginning to reach Myanmar, and the United States resumed executing people after a 7-month pause. Chrysler offered to cap the price of gas for its customers for three years.

Tom Cruise may get the chance to star in another Mission Impossible movie, Sandy Caetano gets annoyed with the remaining American Idol contestants, and Rick McGinnis just doesn’t get The Hills.
