Michael Bublé fulfills a wish for dying fan

Through 16 years of friendship, Lee Horbachewski said her best friend Sandra has given so much to her. Now Horbachewski has repaid the favour.

Sandra, 44, was diagnosed with brain cancer in November and her condition has quickly deteriorated.

Horbachewski helped Sandra create a living will in January where she asked her what she wanted before she died.

“One thing that she was very clear about, she said, ‘I’d love Michael Bublé to sing to me.’”

When Horbachewski left the hospice Thursday, she said it was clear Sandra was in pain.

“I just got in the car and I said ‘That’s it. I’m doing whatever it takes.’”

From noon until 1 a.m., Horbachewski sent emails and made calls, asking for help in granting Sandra’s wish. Less than 24 hours later, her phone rang.

“When she said it’s Jo from Michael Bublé’s team, I just burst into tears,” said Horbachewski.

Bublé had sent a video message to Sandra singing her a song and wishing her well.

“She can’t speak or anything but … you could see her eyes were wide open, which doesn’t happen much as of late,” said Horbachewski.

“It’s something that will be etched in my heart forever.”
