Michael Jackson’s wild spending?

Michael Jackson has been forced to delay the start of his run of shows this summer in London, rescheduling three of the performances for next year. The delay has nothing to do with Jackson’s rumoured health problems.

“Michael is ready for this and ready to do it right,” show director Kenny Ortega said, according to Voice of America. Meanwhile, a lawsuit from a former lawyer has exposed some of Jackson’s outlandish spending habits, including nearly $8 million US on statues of Peter Pan and children playing in just the last few years.

“Mr. Jackson’s pattern has been to spend to the brink of insolvency and then borrow against his assets to further feed his spending,” former lawyer Raymone Bain said, according to the Sun.
