Singer Miley Cyrus was hospitalized on Tuesday night after suffering what is believed to be ‘a severe allergic reaction’ to antibiotics medication.

The 21-year-old Bangerz star was forced to axe a sell-out concert in Kansas City, Missouri.

The current condition of the 21-year-old singer was unknown but over the weekend she Tweeted she was suffering flu-like symptoms.

A statement from the Sprint Center Arena in Kansas which Cyrus was due to appear said the star suffered a ‘severe allergic reaction’ to antibiotics.

However she was well enough to Tweet from her hospital bed and take a selfie.

She wrote: “Kansas I promise Im as [heartbroken] as you are. I wanted so badly 2 b there 2night. Not being with yall makes me feel s**ttier than I already do.”

But she advised fans not to worry and added: “Mr. Octopussy & some amazing Drs are taking good care of me.”

The singer was placed on medical rest by doctors, according to the statement.

Refunds were being offered at the point of ticket purchase with online and phone orders being automatically refunded.
