Law Day 5K run/walk
When: Friday, 11:30 a.m.
Where: Festival Plaza, Ottawa City Hall
The 15th annual Law Run expects to see 400 runners and walkers, including lawyers, judges and the public raising money for the Ottawa Children’s Treatment Centre Foundation, which assists children with disabilities through programs, equipment purchases and research. Late signup is on site at 11:30 a.m.

The Breast Dress Project grand opening sale
When: Saturday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Where: 19 Grenfell Cres., Unit 12
Get a wedding dress for less. Since launching last year, the non-profit organization has collected dozens of dresses and is selling them for half of their retail price, with all proceeds to go to cancer research.

Artists Open House

The City of Ottawa and Stafford Studios is holding its annual reception and open house to allow people to meet professional artists, including Elisabeth Arbuckle, Jane Burnstein, Tony Clark, Michael Goodson, Ewa Kujawska and Julia Lockie in a working environment.

The Diefenbooker Classic

An event to raise money for the Ottawa Public Library and the Diefenbunker, Canada's Cold War Museum, the 14th annual event features 5 and 10K races, 5, 18 and 33K cycle tours and a 5K walk.

Victoria Tea

Where: Christ Church Cathedral, 420 Sparks St.
A civilized afternoon including a tea, a maypole dance, music by Garth Hampson and a fashion show.

Timber Timbre

Where: First Baptist Church
The Ottawa Folk Festival presents critically-acclaimed, award-winning folk rock act Timber Timbre with opening act ferriswheel. Timber Timbre’s album was awarded Eye Weekly’s Album of the Year.
