3rd Annual Hintonburg Arts Festival: Hintonburg is strengthening its roots by staying loyal to all things local. The festival will deliver two-days of continuous live music and street revelry and one spirited night of dance, film, poetry and more. Hard Pushin' Papa and Ray Harris: Hard Pushin' Papa is splitting the bill with Ottawa’s Ray Harris. Harris, who has been playing the bars and pubs of the Ottawa and area music scene in one form or another for about 30 years. Saturday, 9 p.m. Irene's Pub.

Simply Fit Family Run: Family-friendly 1K walk/run and competitive 5K walk/run & 10K run is hosted by the Shad Ireland Foundation Canada. A dialysis patient for 23 years, Ireland was the first ever to compete in an Iron Man Competition in 2004. Sunday, 1:30 p.m., Canadian Aviation and Space Museum.

10th annual Art in Strathcona Park: The free event features 150 artists and artisans, a silent auction, entertainment and a BBQ. Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Strathcona Park at the corner of Range Road and Laurier Avenue.

Ottawa Greekfest: Greekfest features family fun, traditional food, dance and music. The festival is known for its authentic food, including roast lamb on a spit and desserts. Entertainment includes Greek bands, dancers and the nightly Zorba show. Friday through Sunday, Dormition of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church.

Ottawa Folk Festival: The lineup includes Arrested Development, Calexico, Ramblin’ Jack Elliott, the Jim Cuddy Band, Bahamas and Delhi 2 Dublin, among others. In addition to concerts, the festival offers daytime workshops and music education artists. Friday through Sunday, Britannia Park.
