Grievous Angel: The Legend of Gram Parsons

Gram Parsons was the creative force behind some of the most important recordings of the late ’60s and early ’70s. In this theatrical concert Gram (played by Ottawa actor-singer Anders Drerup), reflects on his life and describes the circumstances that brought him to his tragic end.

The Wooden Sky

Where: Irving Greenberg Theatre Centre
Toronto folk-rock collective The Wooden Sky is featured at the 2009-10 Acoustic Waves concert series. Ottawa Folk Festival is presenting the show in partnership with the GCTC. The band calls their music “pop-folk songs.” Tickets are $22.

Peter Pan

Eight musicians from the Impressions in Jazz Orchestra perform an entire show of pure improvisation with assistance from the audience. Audience members should bring paper, writing implements and mobile phones for use during the performance.
