Romeo and Juliet

Where: Neptune Theatre
This popular play by William Shakespeare is again brought to life as Neptune kicks off its 2010-11 season with what is sure to be a hit with theatre fans. The play is over two hours and very entertaining. Tickets are available at neptunetheatre.com with adult tickets starting at $27.

Nocture: Art at Night
When: Saturday, 6 p.m. to midnight
Where: Various sites in Halifax and Dartmouth

Monty Python’s Spamalot
When: Saturday, 2 and 8 p.m., Sunday, 2 p.m.
Where: Halifax Metro Centre
The Tony-winning best musical of 2005 is “lovingly ripped off” from 1975’s Monty Python classic the Holy Grail. There are also spoofs from other musicals like Fiddler on the Roof and Phantom of the Opera. Tickets range in price from $59.50 to $75.50 and are available through Ticket Atlantic.

When: Saturday, 8 p.m.
Where: The Schooner Room, Casino Nova Scotia
One of Canada’s top country singers will perform many of her hits, including Take It Like A Man, Nobody’s Girl and Guitar Talk. Tickets are $36.50 each and are available through Ticket Atlantic.


Fathers & Sons
When: Friday through Oct. 24
Where: Neptune Studio Theatre
This new play described as both funny and touching is set into four parts like a piece of classical music and the play tells the story of a family through the years. Visit neptunetheatre.ca for show times and ticket information.

Classic Albums Live —Michael Jackson’s Thriller
When: Sunday, 8 p.m.
Where: The Schooner Room, Casino Nova Scotia
If you love Michael Jackson, this is a show that can’t be missed. The show recreates Jackson’s Thriller live “note for note, cut for cut” by studio musicians and vocalists. Tickets are $31 and are available through Ticket Atlantic.
