If you’re ready to get your groove on and better the world, head down to the sixth Annual Hip Hop Festival for Peace. The three-day event is free, featuring local and international talent. Canncer Fundraiser on Wheels
Start your engines … er, get your soap box cars rolling! Love to tinker? Love to race? Sponsor a racing team on Saturday and help the third annual Canary Derby raise its goal of $1 million for the early detection of cancer in B.C. Prizes for creativity, costumes, and crowd participation. This year’s derby is at Deer Lake Park in Burnaby, car registration from 8-9 a.m. Races start at 11.

Get geared up for this year’s skiing and snowboarding season by heading down to the Vancouver Convention Centre this Saturday and Sunday for the seventh annual Show Show. The equipment swap begins at 10 a.m. Tickets are available at the door.
