Concert promoters are battling to block Michael Jackson’s series of live concerts in London this summer — accusing the star of breaking an earlier agreement to make his comeback with them — femalefirst.co.uk is alleging.

The pop superstar is currently preparing to take to the stage in London for his first gigs since 2001 — a run of 50 dates at the city’s O2 Arena, starting in July — but bosses at AllGood Entertainment are seeking to block the shows, saying they entered an agreement with Jackson’s manager, Frank Dileo, in 2008, promising the star would appear with his sister Janet Jackson and their brothers on tour.

Jackson was allegedly prohibited from making another concert deal for 18 months as part of the contract, but he violated the blackout clause when he signed up for the London concert series.

The website alleges the promoters have sent a cease and desist letter to the Jackson’s London concert organizers.
