Molson brews up Games deal

Canada’s oldest brewer is the official beer supplier of the 2010 Olympics, organizers of the Games announced yesterday.
Molson, brewer of Molson Canadian, Coor’s Light and Rickard’s Red, will supply the suds at all venue and non-venue Olympic sites during the 2010 Games.
“We look forward to raising a pint with the global community in 2010,” said Molson president Kevin Boyce, at the Burrard Street brewery yesterday.
As well, beginning in January, Molson will use 2010 Olympics logos in its marketing.
John Furlong, CEO of the Vancouver Olympic Organizing Committee, said Molson was an original sponsor during the Olympic bid process.
“Molson helped us win the bid, and we will be pleased to welcome them back to the family,” Furlong said.
Molson is also the official supplier for the Canadian Olympic Team for the 2010 Games and the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.
