Mom takes justice into her own hands

Some teenage thugs are likely hanging their heads in shame today, after the mother of a boy they robbed retrieved his stolen clothes, brandishing a wooden board.

The 15-year-old boy and a 13-year-old girl were walking together near 134 Avenue and 39 Street just before 10:30 Tuesday night, when they were approached by a group of teenaged native males who demanded several articles of clothing from the boy.

After giving in to the suspects, the pair returned to the girl’s home, and told her mother about the robbery. The girl’s mom returned to the scene of the crime, where she found the suspects already wearing the stolen clothes.

Armed with a piece of wood, the woman demanded the group return the items.
After getting the boy’s stuff back, the woman returned home and called police, who were unable to locate the suspects.

An investigation is underway. No one was hurt in the incident.
