Hundreds of kids started their morning off yesterday with a little bit of magic at Capital EX.
Douglas Gaunt, 13, got to ride the Silver Streak in the North American Midway Fair with his favourite Eskimo player, Ricky Ray, as part of the Monday Morning Magic event, which allows kids with disabilities the chance to enjoy the fair in a safe and controlled environment.
“He’s really nice”, said the lucky rider of the star quarterback.
Joining the Eskimos to help out with the event were players from the Oilers, Capitals and Oil Kings.
“The Eskimos really make sure we make it out to this event every year,” said offensive lineman Patrick Kabongo.
“We care about the people who support us and we care about the kids.”
