The worst season in Halifax Mooseheads history has ended with a resounding thud.

The worst season in Halifax Mooseheads history has ended with a resounding thud.

The Mooseheads lost their 13th straight game yesterday to the P.E.I. Rocket in Charlottetown, falling 3-2 in overtime to give them their worst losing streak of a miserable campaign. They also lost 6-4 to the Bathurst Titan on Friday.

Adam Polasek scored the game-winner on the power play at 1:21 of the extra frame. Gabriel Desjardins, with his 11th, and Tomas Knotek, with his 28th, scored for the Mooseheads and goalie Mathieu Corbeil made 19 saves.

The Mooseheads finished last among the league’s 18 teams with a 13-48-7 record for 33 points. They set franchise lows for wins and points.

The Mooseheads tied the 2007-08 Drummondville Voltigeurs for the worst point total since the Rimouski Oceanic went 10-57-3 for 23 points in 2005-06.
