Moose look to break four-game losing skid

The Halifax Mooseheads are hoping to shake a slump as they wrap up a five-game road trip in Quebec on the weekend.

The Mooseheads (9-19-1) have lost four straight and travelled more than 700 kilometres by bus on Thursday for visits with the Val-d’Or Foreurs (15-13-2) on Friday and the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies (4-23-2) on Saturday.

The Mooseheads lost 2-1 to the Shawinigan Cataractes on Wednesday.

“I think the guys are quite comfortable playing on the road … (Wednesday) was really a very good game but we’ve got to learn how to win these games when we’re right there,” said Mooseheads head coach Bobby Smith.

Forwards Gabriel Desjardins and Luca Ciampini both remain out with suspected concussions while goaltender Anthony Terenzio, described as “banged up” by Smith, also is not expected to play.
