Dartmouth Moosehead Dry grabbed a 2-1 lead in the Nova Scotia Senior Baseball League best-of-seven final last night.

The defending champs got past the Halifax Pelham Molson Canadians 11-8 at Beazley Field after evening the series with a 7-2 triumph at Mainland Common on Saturday evening.

Darren Doucette belted a single and a two-run home run for the Dry, while Joel Irvine had a double and a single and scored three runs.

Trevor Zwaan, who came on in the seventh inning, earned the win.

Jeff Tousenard led Halifax’s bats with a double and two singles and Adam Lucas had a double and a single.
