The Halifax Mooseheads will find out on Thursday morning whether their bid to host the 2009 Canadian Hockey League Memorial Cup was successful.

A press conference is set for noon in Montreal to announce the host.

Halifax, which hosted the Memorial Cup in 2000, is in the running with Lewiston, Me.; Rimouski, Que.; Shawinigan, Que.; and Chicoutimi, Que.

Mooseheads owner Bobby Smith said he hasn't received word one way or another on his chances.
