Mooseheads get to take a snow day

The Halifax Mooseheads’ big five-game homestand started on the wrong foot, as last night’s tilt with the Saint John Sea Dogs was postponed because of the winter storm.

The game will now be played on Saturday, March 14, shortening the Herd’s current home stand to four games.

At the same time, it adds an extra three-games-in-three-days stretch to Halifax’s schedule on the final weekend of the season, as the Mooseheads also play the Sea Dogs on Friday, March 13, and the Bathurst Titan on Sunday, March 15.

The last-place Mooseheads (16-35-3-3) are three points out of a playoff spot and will look to climb out of the basement on Saturday at 7 p.m. against the Shawinigan Cataractes and Sunday at 4 p.m. against the Quebec Remparts.

Tickets for last night’s game against the Sea Dogs are valid for admission for the rescheduled game on March 14.
