With Tsuu T’ina band members voting down the most recent southwest ring road proposal, the city has been forced to push ahead with new plans.
Mayor Dave Bronconnier presented an urgent motion to council yesterday that sought approval for an interchange at the 37th Street and Glenmore Trail intersection, with work beginning as early as next year.
“Calgarians have been very patient and have been waiting quite a long time,” he said. He hopes council approves the motion so the city can immediately start working with the province.
