It’s about a serial killer who brutally murders the fiancée of a special agent, who then hunts down the killer and punishes him in ways that blur the line between hero and foe. Told with extraordinary style, what starts as a revenge thriller gradually transforms into a study of the nature of evil without ever sacrificing audience thrills. Though gruelling, there’s no more involving cinematic experience in theaters right now
