Take a moment to appreciate these two goats on the NYC subway

New Yorkers have seen a lot on the NYC public transportation system, but now there’s something particularly adorable to add to the list  MTA goats.

Two urban goats were spotted trespassing along the N line in Brooklyn. The MTA shared a photo of the black and white goats on Twitter, which showed the pair chilling out on the outdoor tracks.

“A new one for us (we think): Two goats are roaming along the N line tracks in Brooklyn. They’re safe and not currently affecting service, but they are on the run. We’ll keep you posted,” @NYCTSubway tweeted along with the photos.

Fortunately, the MTA goats were safely retrieved from the tracks around noon, though it’s not clear where they came from or where they were taken.

MTA goats cause a stir with New Yorkers

Concerned and amused New Yorkers weighed in on the transit oddity.

“Are they okay? Do they need me to adopt them? And why does everything always happen on my lines?” asked @JessieLosch on Twitter?

Others were just fine with the cameo of MTA goats.

“This is one delay I’m totally okay with,” tweeted @MelissaNYoung, while @annie_dinerman quipped, “They’re just trying to deliver Brooklyn artisanal goat cheese to Whole Foods.”
