Music festival for the family

Three DJ stages, a food and vendors’ market, a kid zone, and free family fun will greet thousands of Calgarians this weekend at Millennium Park.

Three DJ stages, a food and vendors’ market, a kid zone, and free family fun will greet thousands of Calgarians this weekend at Millennium Park.

Calgary Electronic Music Festival director Nikki Love is excited that Calgarians will be able to enjoy free electronic music as well as a family-friendly venue.

“It’s a celebration of electronic culture and music and everyone is invited,” she said, adding it’s the first of what will hopefully become an annual event.

“We just want people to enjoy the music and it doesn’t involve having to go to a bar.”

Love encouraged people to bring non-perishable food items for the Calgary Interfaith Food Bank.
