People were dancing in their rain gear and even Prime Minister Stephen Harper was tapping out a beat as Rawlins Cross belted out a Celtic tune yesterday.
The few performances on a covered stage showed a cross section of Nova Scotia culture including Acadian acts Blou and and the Baie en Joie Dancers.
Murdena Marshall of the Eskasoni First Nation read a Mi’kmaq prayer and the Halifax Boys Choir sang God Save the Queen.
