With barely any food on the shelves, the Mustard Seed is struggling to meet the needs of its clients and is in urgent need of donations.
Mustard Seed spokesperson Courtney Fliss said the agency is desperate for donations of canned and dry goods.
“I’m not sure why, but for some reason the donations have really dropped off and we’re struggling to give our clients the quantity of food needed,” Fliss said.
“The need for food is year-round, in the summer just as much as the winter.”
The Mustard Seed typically hands out 40 hampers a week. For a complete list please visit www.theseed.ca. Both Mustard Seed locations will take donations.
