N.B. truck driver dies in two-vehicle crash

GLENHOLME, N.S. – RCMP say a 61-year-old man from New Brunswick was killed Monday in an collision involving two tractor-trailers on a fogbound section of highway in northern Nova Scotia.

The crash happened just before 7:30 a.m. on the westbound lanes of Highway 104, east of the Cobequid toll station.

Police said it appears that one of the trucks was parked on the side of the highway when it was struck by the second tractor-trailer.

The driver of the second truck, a resident of Dieppe, N.B., was killed when the cab of his truck burst into flames, police said.

Police did not released his name.

The driver of the first truck was identified as a 61-year-old from Enfield, N.S.
